Mermaid

Doug Pemberton, an awkward, down-and-out Florida addict who’s just lost his job and any sense of purpose, plans to end his life in the Gulf—until he rescues an injured mermaid and, convinced she’s his last shot at redemption, must protect her from a world determined to exploit the miracle he’s found.
